Daniel Ellsberg was the former Defense Department staffer and Rand Corporation employee who leaked the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times. He is the author of the book Secrets: A Memoir of Vietnam and the Pentagon Papers and runs truthtellingproject.org, advocating for government whistleblowers.
